The UK Photography Retreat
Adventure, breathtaking landscapes, and a new creative community await you in bonnie Scotland.
We invite you to the Scottish Highlands April 25-28, 2025.
This retreat will be focused on elopement photography, editorial photography, and, as with most of our retreats, self care for the creative. This year we’re featuring a special addition of an herbalism workshop!
Starting on Friday in Edinburgh, we’ll have time to see the city as well as a lovely team dinner in a local pub.
Saturday, we’ll wrap up our time in the city with a couple’s shoot with the picturesque Edinburgh Castle as a backdrop. Then we’ll travel as a group out into the rural area just below the Cairngorms National Park. Our elopement shoot is next. Think misty mountains and rolling, grassy fields. It’s going to be stunning! We’ll stay in this area for the remainder of our retreat.
Finally, we’ll wrap up our time in Scotland with an editorial shoot with a model and Highland pony (his name is Fandango).
Where we’re staying:
The Kinclune House and Estate just outside of the Cairngorms - this beautiful and recently renovated property is going to make the perfect backdrop for our workshops and time spent together, and only a short drive to Cairngorms National Park!
We have space for 5 attendees (6 if you don’t mind sharing a bed - a perfect option for 2 friends wanting to come together).
Meals will be provided for the duration of the retreat; food allergies & restrictions will be accommodated.

General transportation from our shoots throughout the retreat is included in your ticket cost. Vehicles will be insured by Fika Events + Retreats. Transportation from the airport to our meet up in Edinburgh is not covered. You will have the option to take the group van transport from our airbnb back to the airport on Monday, if you wish - any other travel is at your own expense. If you decide to rent your own car, your own insurance will need to be purchased.

We ask that all attendees arrive to Edinburgh on Friday no later than 3pm local time. We will take time to enjoy exploring and eating dinner together before staying the night in this gorgeous and historic city.

You must have all the proper insurances and permits to use your drone and follow Scotland's laws. Fika Retreats and The Finding Co. are not responsible for your gear or usage of it. You can get great insight and details here!

If your spouse or family wants to travel with you to Scotland, that is totally fine. Make it a family affair!
Our retreat and retreat space is for ticket holders and retreat hosts only however, but if you'd like to rent something separate and meet the group at the shoots and events of the retreat that is always an option. If you decide to do that, please contact Natalie directly and we'll work out those details! -
Like in many of the Nordic countries, Scots have the saying: “There is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing.” We recommend packing layers, that way you can remove or add clothes depending on the day’s weather.

Investment
The cost of this retreat is $2,550 per person. Your ticket includes everything from the moment we begin until your drop off at the airport. Meals, lodging, shoots, and all the fun!
We have 5 spots available and would love to see you as one of our attendees. Payment plans are also available with 5 payments of $515.
Interested in just attending the content/photo sessions? We are offering them a la carte if you want to be a part of this retreat’s activities but don’t need lodging or meals.
